Welcome to East Geauga High School, where the bullies are brutal, the teachers are bizarre, and the principal can sniff out a missing hall pass from across the building. You’re Anthony—a wisecracking, closeted teen just trying to survive puberty, prom, and the creeping suspicion that something isn’t human among the faculty.

When your best friend Erik vanishes without a trace, you’re plunged into a twisted adventure of cryptic clues, sneaky schemes, and a conspiracy that goes way deeper than the basement boiler room. WINDOWS INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

Download the game and unzip it.

Try to run it.

• Because the game is unsigned, Windows may throw an error. Update: The Windows version is officially signed, but until my reputation builds up you still might see the message.

MACINTOSH INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

Download the game and unzip it. 

Try to run it.

• macOS will likely block it with a message like “App can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.”

Bypass Gatekeeper:

• Right-click (or Ctrl+Click) on SchoolQuest.app.
• Select Open.
• A prompt will appear, but now it will allow you to click Open anyway.
• After this, the game will launch normally, and macOS will remember the choice for future launches.

OR via Terminal:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /path/to/SchoolQuest.app

This removes the “quarantine” flag macOS puts on downloaded apps.

Future launches will work by double-clicking as normal.

LINUX INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

Download the game...

Then open a Terminal window and extract it:

tar -xzf SchoolQuest-Linux-FC5.tar.gz
cd SchoolQuest-Linux-FC5/ags_3.6.2.13_linux
chmod +x SchoolQuest
./SchoolQuest

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THE INSTRUCTION BOOKLET.

Note: No Adult stuff like Leisure Suit Larry, just some gay school romance. Some minor language from the 80/90's so you've been warned.
